    Hometown Taste has become our favorite restaurant in Beaverton. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Service is excellent and very accommodating.

    My husband, my son (3y old) and I stopped in randomly as we were passing by the restaurant on the way home. Service was great the moment we walked in. I don't know why they don't have the greatest reviews. Everything was absolutely delicious! This is actually some of the best Chinese food I've had in a really long time. What we ordered Crab rangoons - Fresh, didn't taste like frozen ones that most restaurants serve. Green Onion Pancake - Well executed. Hefty portion and the dipping sounds was bomb. Dan Dan Noodles - MY FAVORITE. Sauce was perfection! Make sure you mix them up really well before hand. Highly recommend. Chicken and Broccoli- A very simple dish, but was just cooked at perfection. Chicken was tender, broccoli had a a great texture and everything was still very flavorful. Mapo Tofu - Highly Recommend! Very well balanced. Just the right amount of schezuan pepper corn. Very authentic flavors! Ambiance is very average, but the food speaks for itself!

    This place used to be Chiam but has since switched owners over to Hometown Taste. As someone who has grown up in the Cedar Mill area, I never felt like there was a good, dependable, authentic Chinese restaurant within minutes of our house. We typically would drive over to Hillsboro, downtown or even Happy Valley to get our fill. However, I'm so grateful to say that Hometown Taste has taken over as our Chinese food go to. The place is relatively hidden from the main road, as it sits half a level below the road, but inside, it's pristine. Service was impeccable and the owner was kind enough to check in with us during our meal. This place feels like a genuine Chinese restaurant and the staff care about their customers and how their experience is. We got three dishes that were listed as spicy, but the spice level is much more manageable than a Sichuan restaurant, so if you're looking for a place to make you sweat, this might not be the place to go. Personally, I welcomed this, as I was able to enjoy some of my favorite dishes without breaking a sweat :) We will definitely be back and highly recommend you check this place out!
